To report work-related injuries and illnesses to Microsoft, open Viva Connections and select the SafetyHub tile.

Reporting an Injury, Illness, or Near miss

Select the type of incident you want to report

Note: selecting “Injury,” “Illness,” or “Near miss” will bring up the notification shown below.

To report an injury, illness, or near miss in a datacenter, select “Yes” to be directed to the Global Data Center Operations (GDCO) app.

To report an injury, illness, or in all other locations, select “No” and follow the steps below.

Enter a descriptive title, the location, and the date and time.

Select the location from the list, or further refine your search.

After selecting the location, select “Next” to continue your injury, illness, or near miss report.

AWPs have the potential to cause severe workplace injuries. Current safety regulations specify operator training requirements, inspection and maintenance processes, and design requirements to protect the worker and workplace when AWPs are present or in use.

Provide details of the incident using the check boxes or text fields, upload any relevant images, and select “Next.”

The program sets forth processes for evaluating and preventing workplace exposure associated with asbestos-containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM) at Microsoft facilities.

Microsoft does not authorize its employees or external staff to engage in asbestos repair or removal activities, but instead uses licensed and certified outside contractors for these services.

For injury and illness reporting, provide additional incident details using the dropdown menus and text fields, and select “Next.”

Application of the controls and practices described in this program will reduce the potential for adverse health effects caused by exposure to BBPs. BBPs include diseases such as hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).
