Where are you working?

With our hybrid policy, there are a lot of potential environments where our people can work. Each has its considerations regarding workplace safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.

All employees and managers are required to review SafetyHub and ergonomics guidance:

  • Before beginning hybrid work
  • When there are changes to the hybrid work designation
  • Annually

If considering a hybrid workplace or applying for a change, employees must first ensure they’ve acknowledged the flexible work policy, confirming their remote workplace designation complies with Microsoft safety standards.

In all Microsoft locations and work environments, managers matter to health and safety. We equip people managers to recognize and respond to the mental and emotional wellbeing of their employees. Microsoft’s “Model, Coach, Care” framework, published through Microsoft WorkLab, is grounded in research showing that 70% of employees across 10 countries said their manager had the greatest impact on their mental health. Dedicated support is also available through partner experts and clinicians, making professional mental health accessible to employees and their families.

Also, be sure to check local OHS SafetyHub websites for specific guidance.
